When Is A Mountain Free work

When I go walking in a landscape and think ‘I’m getting closer’ there’s always a new ‘far away’.

In 2017 I photographed the filled with mysterious stories Montserrat in Cataluña, the stones I brought with me from the Moroccan Sahara and Tibetan Highlands and in 2018 the equally mysterious and mighty Georgian Caucasus. Fascinated by the silent, stable presence and yet constant changeability of the ‘faces of the mountain’ I look into the question When Is A Mountain? Through my photography I research this experience of scale, perspective and imagery.
