Installatie ‘Nature of Us’ @Sparrenhof

In een poging om te herverbinden, en opnieuw na te denken over de betekenis van ‘natuur’, fotografeer ik bomen. Entiteiten die me fascineren omdat ze een indrukwekkende kalmte en een oerkracht uitstralen. Met een macrobalg fotografeer ik ze van heel dichtbij. Deze installatie bestaat uit analoge macrofoto’s van boombasten omgezet naar zeefdrukken op kaasdoek, bedoeld om buiten te tonen.
Tijdens de eerste editie van Sprankelend Sparrenhof, kunstzinnige activiteiten voor kinderen en jongeren in de natuur, staat de installatie bij de entree van het landgoed.

In an effort to reconnect, and rethink what the meaning of ‘nature’ is, I photographed trees. Entities that fascinate me because they radiate an impressive calmness and primal power. With macro bellows I photograph them up close. This installation consists of analog macro photographs of tree barks converted into screen prints on cheesecloth, intended for outdoor display.
During the first edition of Sprankelend Sparrenhof, artistic activities for children and young people in nature, the installation is on display at the entrance of the estate.
