Solo exhibition at Hilvaria Studio’s – Sunday programs November 2024 – June 2025
2025/03/04
After a very nice opening afternoon November 10th 2024, we’ve had some beautiful Sunday openings last months at my solo exhibition at Hilvaria Studio’s Foundation. Hilvaria Studio’s has a ongoing collaboration with De Link Nieuwe Muziek Tilburg combining contemporary music with contemporary art. Tineke and me also invited artists working with live performance and installations.
On December 8th a concert by cello-electronics duo Leah Plave and Tiziano Teodori, whose music is inspired by nature and was a very spacial experience to me.
On January 12th a concert by saxofonist Javier Villegas, who walked and played beautifully through the exhibition space, playing meditatively in response to the works.
On February 9th we asked performance artist Nick Steur, with whom I share a fascination for stones. He made two new installations titled Ooggetuige (eye witness) and Huidgetuige (skin witness) which could be experienced next to and with my works.
For March 9th we invited artist and writer/poet Dorien de Wit, with whom I share a fascination for landscape and spaciality. She’ll be reading her own work amidst my photo works and Nick Steur’s two new installations.
On May 18th we had a finissage with ‘Ruderalia’, a nature film by Joris de Rycke in which he reveals the quiet power of overgrown cultural landscapes. “Photographer Claudia den Boer captures that same stillness in her work, with an eye for light, emptiness, and space, questioning our relationship with matter and time. An afternoon for lovers of imagery, nature, and the art of observation.” – Curator Tineke Schuurmans
